Joshua Fu is a writer and musician based in New York City.  Originally from Los Angeles, he received his BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in May 2010, where he studied screenwriting with Sabrina Dhawan (Monsoon Wedding, dir. Mira Nair), Joe Vinciguerra (Don't Go in the Woods, dir. Vincent D'onofrio) and George Malko (The Dogs of War, dir. John Irvin).

In 2004, he was awarded the Governor’s Medallion as a California Arts Scholar for his creative writing.  In 2010, he was awarded the Venable Herndon Screenwriting Award.

He currently works in independent film distribution.

His fascination with and exploration of the written and spoken word only expands.

He is a self-described lover of stories and narratives at large.

His work tends to center on “absurd premises taken way too seriously.”
